State-level immigration policy

Since Arizona’s controversial immigration enforcement law passed in 2010, many other states around the country have been considering - and some have passed - similar legislation. Anabaptist leaders have been outspoken against state-level policies that tear apart families and communities. A summary of state-level immigration bills for 2011 can be found here. Advocacy organizations, business owners, faith groups and legislators in several states have taken proactive action to advocate for fair immigration reform and reframe the discussion surrounding immigration.
