What we do

The MCC Washington Office works in the following ways:

  • Working groups and coalitions
We work in coalitions with other organizations to pursue collective advocacy goals.
  • Sign-on letters
We regularly sign and compose letters that articulate our policy positions to Congress and the Administration.
  • Meetings with decision makers in Congress and the Administration
We help give voice to our brothers and sisters from around the world, too often ignored by people in positions of power.
  • Articles for Anabaptist publications
We regularly contribute articles to Mennonite Weekly Review, PeaceSigns, and Third Way Café
  • Action Alerts
We email action alerts to provide advocacy suggestions and updates on the critical issues.
  • Newsletter
We publish a quarterly newsletter, the MCC Washington Memo, available by mail and online.
  • Blog
We post updates to our blog, the Washington Memo Blog.
  • Public speaking
We regularly speak to congregations and to Anabaptist groups visiting D.C.
