Rachelle Lyndaker Schlabach, Director

Rachelle Lyndaker Schlabach serves as Director of the Washington Office. She monitors U.S. policy related to the Middle East and international debt relief. She worked at the Washington Office from 1998-2003, before returning as Director in 2007. Rachelle is a graduate of Eastern Mennonite Seminary and Goshen College. She is married to Keith and they have two children.

Tammy Alexander, Legislative Associate

Tammy Alexander is the Legislative Associate for Domestic Affairs. Her focus is on immigration, the environment and health care. Prior to joining the MCC Washington Office, Tammy was an intern/volunteer at the General Board of Church and Society of the United Methodist Church and worked for several years as an engineer. She is a graduate of American University, the University of Tennessee Space Institute, and Purdue University.

Theo Sitther, Legislative Associate

Theo Sitther is the Legislative Associate for International Affairs. He focuses on U.S. foreign policy issues in Latin America and Asia. He also focuses his work on trade policies. Prior to joining the Washington Office, Theo worked as a lobbyist for the Center on Conscience & War. He is a graduate of Hesston College (Hesston, KS) and Eastern University (St. Davids, PA).

Mary Stata, Legislative Assistant

Mary Stata is the Legislative Assistant for International Affairs. Her focus is on Africa, HIV/AIDS, and militarism. Prior to joining the MCC Washington Office, she served in India with MCC’s SALT program where she taught English and worked at a women’s center. Mary is a graduate of Calvin College.

Christina Warner, Legislative Assistant

Christina Warner is the Legislative Assistant for Domestic Affairs, focusing on economic justice in the United States, crime and justice, civil rights and Native American concerns. Before joining the Washington Office she served with MCC's SALT program in India for one year, working as a teacher in a rural primary school. She is a graduate of Huntington University.
